Naomi Fae Thomas
Naomi Fae Thomas, 91 of Vernon, died on Sunday, April 6, 2014, in Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Irl Holt and Rev. Howard Quiett. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Naomi was born Sunday, July 23, 1922 in Chillicothe. She was the daughter of the late Edward Brumbeloe and the late Ozella White Brumbeloe. She married Eugene Thomas on Oct. 17, 1942 in Vernon. She had lived in Vernon since 1926. She worked at Vernon Manufacturing Co. for 27 years and at Vernon State Hospital Center South for 10 years. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and a volunteer for USSV. She was a member of Fargo united Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Thomas, of the home; her daughter, Carla Clayton of Vernon; two grandchildren, Angelique Matthys and Trey Clayton; and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Griffin Matthys.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to Gene & Naomi Thomas Scholarship Fund at Vernon College.
Pallbearers will be Jim Anthony, Gordon Thomas, Greg Thomas, Scotty Thomas, Bo Jones, and Joe Smith.
