Ronald David Fox

Ronald David Fox, 89 of Vernon, Texas passed away on
Monday, May 18, 2026, in Electra, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 22,
2026, at Western Trail Cowboy Church under the direction of
Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. Trey Schur officiating.
Ron was born Thursday, Oct. 8, 1936, in Crowell, Texas. He
was the son of the late George C. Fox and the late Juanita
Sanders Fox. He married Latrelle Duckworth Dec. 23, 1956, in
Crowell, Texas. He was a graduate of Crowell High School and
went on to graduate from Howard Payne University. Ron loved
the Lord and pastored at many churches including Gouldbusk
Baptist Church, Morgan Mill, Bethel Baptist of Nocona, San Antonio Rainbow Hills,
Calvary Baptist of Vernon, and Western Trail Cowboy Church. He was an interim
pastor at many churches. Ron loved people and adored his family. He enjoyed
watching his son, Phil, work horses, and being out in the barn. He loved his church,
Western Trail Cowboy Church. While being a pastor, he led many people to the Lord.
He was quick witted and quite the comedian, and he was a dedicated husband, father
and pastor.
Ron is survived by his wife, Latrelle Fox of the home, his daughter, Linda
Borchardt of Wichita Falls, Texas, his son, Phil Fox & wife Cynthia of Vernon, Texas,
his daughter-in-law, Cathy Fox of Vernon, Texas, and his sister, Jo Ann Wilson &
husband Robert of Wichita Falls, Texas. Ron also leaves behind seven grandchildren,
Blake Fox & wife Ashley, Ty Fox & wife Karla, JD Fox & wife Kelsey, Chelsey
Henry & husband Bryson, Cody Borchardt & wife Christen, Kasey Beiting & husband
Patrick, and Sarah Worrell & husband Chuck and numerous great grandchildren.
Ron is preceded in death by his son, David Fox.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral services begin Friday, May 22, 2026, at
Western Trail Cowboy Church.
