Annetta Jones Hunter

   QUANAH – Annetta Jones Hunter, 90, of Irving, formerly a longtime Quanah resident, died on Monday, April 21, 2014 in Coppell. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Quanah with the Rev. Monte Lumpkin officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Quanah.
   Hunter was born March 29, 1924, on the family farm in Eldorado, Okla., a daughter of the late Arthur and Sue Jones. On Sept. 20, 1940, she married Therrell (Son) Hunter. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1994  She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Quanah. She was employed with Quanah Floral and, later, he Flower Shop, for 30 years.
   Survivors include two sons, James (Pat) Hunter of Ovilla and Eddie (Twila) Hunter of Plano; one daughter, Tara (Walter) Krieg of Coppell; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and two sisters, and a granddaughter, Kristine Marie Hunter.
   Family visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home.
   The family requests that Memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Quanah, American Cancer Society or The National Kidney Foundation.
