Sonya Wallace Harman
Sonya Wallace Harman Sokora, 69 of Vernon, died on Saturday, May 10, 2014, in Vernon. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Munday. Officiating will be the Rev. Scott Arant. Services are under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Sonya was born Dec. 17, 1944 in Munday. She was the daughter of the late J.C. Wallace and the late Louella Sterling Wallace. She married Kenneth Harman on March 11, 1969 in Munday. He preceded her in death in 1986. She later married Ted Sokora on April 13, 1995 in Vernon,. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2010.
She had been a resident of Vernon since 1993, moving here from Munday. She was owner operator of Harman Television Appliance and worked as a public sccountant. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Munday.
She is survived by a niece, Lisa Cobb of Trophy Club; a brother, Rob Wallace of Vernon’ a sister, Sherry Reynolds of Vernon, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to Wilbarger County Human Society or Wilbarger County Relay for Life.
