Alice Hall Pilcher

   Alice Hall Pilcher, 96 of Vernon, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Vernon. Funeral services will be Friday, May 16, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Fox. Interment will be at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Pilcher was born July 31, 1917 in Montague.  She was the daughter of the late Eli A. Hall and the late Anne McMahan Hall. She married Richard Lester Pilcher on April 7, 1934 in Forestburg. He preceded her in death in 1977. She had moved to Wilbarger County in 1955. She lived in Farmers Valley until 1966 and has lived in Vernon since that time. She worked for Vernon State Hospital Center North & South. She then worked at Kwik Klen Korner Laundry. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
   She is survived by her sons, James Pilcher of Vernon, Roger Pilcher of Vernon, Richard Pilcher of Corsicana and Joe Pilcher of Houghton; her brother, Hubert Hall of Houghton, La., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
   She wass preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, a daughter, Aliene Shults.
   Visitation will be at 1 p.m., Friday until service time at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
   Pallbearers will be David Pilcher, Rodney Pilcher, Mark Pilcher, Cody Pilcher, Steven Pilcher, Brian Pilcher, Michael Shults, Ronnie Shults and Scott Shults.
