A memorial service for June Schiwart, 79, of Vernon, who died on Friday, May 23, 2014 in Vernon, will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Neuberger officiating, service is under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Schiwart was born on July 14, 1934 in Vernon. She was the daughter of the late Charles Parkhill and the late Leona Hobson Parkhill. She married Curtis Schiwart on Nov. 1, 1951 in Vernon. She was a legal secretary for Cleddie Parmer and the abstract office. Later she worked with her husband and family in the family business, the Cracker Barrel, and also opened the Sunny Shop Gift Shop. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and had been a resident of Vernon all of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Schiwart of the home; two sons, Kevin Schiwart of Wichita Falls and Mark Schiwart of Vernon; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m., until service time on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
