Charles Haynes

   Charles Haynes, 75 of Vernon, died on Monday, June 16, 2014, in Vernon. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.
   Haynes was born Saturday, June 10, 1939 in Odell. He was the son of the late John Haynes and the late Ruth Dodson Haynes. He married Leta Jean Ham in 1992 in Belton. She preceded him in death on Dec. 21, 2009. He had lived all of his life in Wilbarger County. He worked for Wilbarger County for many years. He retired as a heavy equipment operator.
   He is survived by three sons, Mark Haynes of Vernon, Brian Haynes of Vernon and James Haynes of Chillicothe; two daughters, Vickie Pouge of Iowa Park and Amy Knight of Iowa Park; one brother, Larry Haynes of Southlake; one sister, Carol Thrasher of Salado; 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Haynes.
