Lolita LeMoyne Wainscott

   Lolita LeMoyne Wainscott died on Saturday, July 5, 2014 in San Antonio. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, July 11, 2014, in Bell Cemetery in Odell under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Wallace Clay.
   Wainscott was born in Cedarville, N.M.  to Manford and Lola Flowers on Dec. 3, 1918. The family moved to Texas when she was six years old. She graduated from Vernon High School as valedictorian of her senior class in 1936.  She attended Texas State College for Women in Denton. She moved to San Antonio to work as a clerk typist for Civil Service.  During her career, Wainscott worked at Kelly Field, Fort Sam Houston, and  retired from Brooks Air Force Base after 34 years of service during which she attained the title of certified professional secretary as one of nine at that time in the state. She married Leon F. Wainscott on March 26, 1945.
   Survivors include numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; parents Manford and Lola Flowers; one brother, Nolan; a sister. Mayme Brand, and a nephew, Kenneth Flowers.
