David Byron Haynes

   Funeral services for David Byron Haynes, 57 of Vernon, who died on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, in Wichita Falls, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 at the Western Trail Cowboy Church. Officiating will be Harry Thrasher and Rev. Ron Fox. Interment will be held at Chillicothe Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Haynes was born Friday, Aug. 9, 1957 in Chillicothe. He was the son of Laura Thomas Haynes and the late Gordon Keith Haynes. He married Sandra Lankford on July 16, 2013 in Dumas.  He had lived in Vernon all of his life. He was a member of the Custom Harvesters Association and was a long time custom harvester and co-owner of Gordon Haynes Harvesting until he retired earlier in 2014. He was a member of Western Trail Cowboy Church.
   He is survived by his wife, Sandra Haynes of the home; his mother,  Laura Jane Haynes of Vernon; three daughters, McKinsey Akin of Frederick, Okla., Melanie Haynes of Vernon, and Miranda Haynes of Vernon; three step-daughters,  Angie Taylor of White City, Amy Thompson of Chillicothe, and Emily Taylor of Chillicothe; one brother, Gary Wayne Haynes of Chillicothe; four grandchildren and one step-grandson.
   Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to the David Haynes Memorial Trust.
