Rubye Faye Robinson

   Rubye Faye Robinson, 96 of Hurst, Texas died on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, in Fort Worth, Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Greg Tanner. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Rubye was born Saturday, Aug. 24, 1918 in Sentinel, Okla. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Cameron and the late Eva Johnson Cameron. She married Victor Robinson on Dec.r 25, 1940 in Martha, Okla. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 2002. She had lived in Vernon since 1946. She attended Oklahoma College for Women, Oklahoma. AandM College and Draughon’s Business College. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a Past Worthy Matron with a, 50 year pin, the Heart Association and the Crime Stoppers board, She was also a member of Vernon Travelers Square Dancing Club, Cancer Society board, Wilbarger General Hospital Auxiliary and the Girls Club Board. She had worked for First State Bank in Altus and for 37 years at the Bank of Vernon, First State Bank, as public relations. She was a member of the First Baptist , where she was past treasurer of her Sunday School class.
   She is survived by her son, David Lee Robinson and wife Sharon of Hurst; a grandson,
   William L. Robinson, II of Hurst, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers: C.W., Earl, Troy and Floyd Cameron, and two sisters, Margie Johns and Ella Mae Crawford.
