Jerry Annette Francis

   Jerry Annette Francis, age 71, formerly of Quanah, passed away, Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, in Marble Falls. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Jones and Kyler Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Quanah.

Mrs. Francis was born Aug. 20, 1943 to Guy Daugherty and Francis Logan Daugherty in Quanah. She married Robert “Pete” Weston Francis on Oct. 21, 1961 at the First Baptist Church in Quanah. Mrs. Francis and her husband were the first couple to be wed in the First Baptist Church in 1961. She was a 1961 graduate of Quanah High School and member of the First Baptist Church.
   Wife, daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother, in comparison there is no other. Mother of three but “Mom” and “Granny” to many she will always be.
   She is survived by her husband, Robert “Pete” Weston Francis, Granite Shoals; one son, Guy “Bill” William Francis, Granite Shoals; two daughters, Sharla Annette Bass, Apache, Okla., and Shonda Gayle Hall, Spring; her mother, Frances Daugherty, East Port, Mi.; one niece, Leanne Welch, Iowa Park; one nephew, Patrick Brooks, Wichita Falls; two grandchildren, Dylan Christopher Francis Hall and Ryan Weston Francis Hall; a sister-in-law, Kay Lynn Elder, Wichita Falls. She was preceded by her father, Guy Daugherty, and a sister, Barbara Gayle.

Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday at Smith Funeral Home, Quanah.
