CROWELL – Mary Branch, 88, of Crowell, died on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 in Quanah. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Crowell with the Rev. Richard White of Lubbock officiating. Interment will be held at the Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home, Crowell.
Branch was born on July 5, 1926, in Chillicothe, a daughter of the late John Lester and Beatrice Ferguson Brock. She married Charles S. Branch on Sept. 2, 1950 in Crowell. She was a lifetime resident of Crowell. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Crowell, where she was a member of the Ester Sunday School Class. She was active in the Crowell 4-H Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Branch, Denise Holley and Janice Bergt, all of Crowell; two sons, Barry Branch and Michael Branch, both of Crowell; one sister, Betty Tamplen of Crowell; two brothers, J.L. Brock of Spearman and Robert G. Brock of Longmont, Colo.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Verna Marjorie Thomas on May 12, 1972, and her husband, Charles S. Branch, on April 16, 1994.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church of Crowell.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Womack-Manard Funeral Home, Crowell.
