Lois Lavelle Ferrell
Lois Lavelle Ferrell, 79, died on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, in Wichita Falls. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at Eastview Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Toby Castleberry. Interment will be under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Ferrell was born Saturday, Sept. 28, 1935 in Eastland. She was the daughter of the late C.R. Wood and the late Velma Wood. She married Charles Michael Ferrell. She lived most of her life in Vernon. She was a Southwestern Bell Telephone operator, worked at Bluebonnet Laundry and worked for the Boys & Girls Club of Vernon. She was a member of the Vernon Travelers Square Dance Club. She loved to sing. She was member of Calvary Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Michael Ferrell of the home; one daughter, Beverly Isham of Vernon; one brother, Ronald Reid Wood of Norman, Okla.; one sister, Marilyn Murphy of Lansdowne, Penn.; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to Boys & Girls Club of Vernon.
