Shirley Lou Ritchie Thornton

   QUANAH – Shirley Lou Ritchie Thornton, 75, of Quanah, died on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 in Quanah. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
  Thornton was born July 24, 1939 in Erick, Okla., a daughter of the late Joseph and Cora Mayfield Ritchie. She married James Leo Thornton, Sr. on Feb. 12, 1979 in Vernon. He preceded her in death in 2005. She was a resident of Quanah most of her life. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
   She is survived by two sons, Danny H. Snyder of Orlando, Fla., and James Thornton, Jr. of Vernon; three daughters, Cindy L. Snyder, Reana Luman and Darla Luman, all of Quanah; one brother, Jerry Ritchie of Shallowater; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
