Wanda “Scottie” Allison

Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 in First United Methodist Church in Childress with the Rev. Lou Ellerbrook officiating. Burial was in Childress Cemetery.
Wanda “Scottie” was born on March 23, 1929 in Vernon to Homer and Lola (Morgan) Scott. “Scottie’s” best times were spent with Al, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Scottie took pride in supporting her community by being a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, Childress Band Boosters, and was a Charter member of the local bridge club.
She was very involved in the First United Methodist Church in the United Methodist Women and Rothwell Circle, and of the Fellowship Sunday School class. She was also a proud supporter of the Childress Public Library. In her spare time, she loved to read, garden and travel.
“Scottie” was preceded in death by her parents, husband Martin “Al” Allison, an infant daughter Alicia Carol Allison, one brother Tex Scott, and two sisters Faye Works and Lovie Pratt.
Memorials may be made to the Childress Public Library at 117 Ave B NE; CRMC Hospice at PO Box 1030, First United Methodist Church at 201 Ave D NE, or to your favorite charity.
Survivors include three daughters, Althea Driver and husband, James, Childress; Deanna Allison, Rockwall, and Veda Greer, Childress; one brother, Tom Scott and wife, Jeanette, Cresson; grandchild, Allison Taylor and husband, Kevin, Childress; great-grandchild, Seth Taylor; great-grandchild, Kate Taylor; grandchild, Dan Drive and wife, Allison, Raleigh, N.C.; great-grandchild, Hadyn Driver; great-grandchild, Samuel Driver; great-grandchild, Cori Green and husband, Kris, Rockwall; great-grandchild, Presley Green; great-grandchild, Hudson Green, Rockwall; grandchild, Marci Frost and husband, Jeff, Childress; great-grandchild, Colton Frost, Childress; great-grandchild, BreAnna Frost, Childress; grandchild, Jarrod Greer, Childress, and numerous nieces and nephews.
