Dorothy Mae Thompson Autry

   CROWELL – Dorothy Mae Thompson Autry, 83, of Crowell, died on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014 in Crowell. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 in the First United Methodist Church in Crowell with the Rev. David McDonald, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Chillicothe, and the Rev. Damon Stalvey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Crowell, officiating. Interment will be in the Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
   Autry was born on Mary 23, 1931 in Foard County, a daughter of the late W.C. and Daisy Mae Phillips Thompson. She married J.C. Autry on Oct. 29, 1949 in Crowell.  She was a 1949 graduate of Crowell High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crowell, where she was a member of United Methodist Women and the Hospitality Sunday School Class. She served as administrator of the Foard County District.
   Survivors include her husband, J.C. Autry of Crowell; one daughter, Susan Haynie of Crowell; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Reynolds of Boyd; two brothers, Joe Don Thompson of Irving and Bryant Thompson of Crowell. She was preceded in death by a son, Jess C. (Trey) Autry III on Jan. 12, 1992; twin infant granddaughters, Jessica and Jody Haynie in April 1983, and three brothers, Bill Gannaway, J.C. Thompson and Jerry Thompson.
   Memorials may be made to the Crowell Cemetery Association of the First United Methodist Church of Crowell.
   Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, in the Womack-Manard Funeral Home in Crowell.
