Loreta Holmes

   Loreta Holmes, 95 of Harrold, died on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, in Harrold. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at  the Second Baptist Church. Officiating were Rev. Mike Seay. Interment was held at Harrold Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Loreta was born Wednesday, March 8, 1919 in Ada, Okla. She was one of 14 children born to the late John Aylor and the late Sophronia Lee Aylor She married Clarence Holmes on May 31,1942 in Self, Texas.
   She never passed an opportunity to tell her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren about her Lord and Savior. She loved cooking and doing for her family and others as long as she was able. She lived in Harrold for the past 61 years, raising six children and sending all of them to Harrold School District.  She was a member of the Electra Assembly of God Church.
   She is survived by her children, John and Judy Holmes of Arlington, Marvin and Sue Holmes of Electra, James and Karen Holmes of Electra, Margie Ford of Vernon and Dottie Holmes of Harrold; grandchildren, Charla Jo and Manuel Camerano, Kelly and Pam Holmes, Jim and Julie Holmes, Darrell and Jacqueline Holmes, Missie and Brad Rodgers, Scott and Rhonda Holmes, Dawn and Sam Whatley, Kim and Ron Hays, Aaron Alaniz and Chris and Kera Alaniz; great-grandchildren,  Josh, Ashley, Amy and Megan Camerano, Tyler, Madi, and Maci Holmes, Lindsey, Sydney, and Brittney Holmes, Lauren and Darren Holmes, Brice, Blake and Tori Rodgers, Abby and Scottie Holmes, Karlee and Wade Whatley,  Katelyn Fouse,  Colten, Gunner and Krista Hays, Alexia and Mia Alaniz; her siblings, Elizabeth Graves and Martha Branch, and numerous nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Holmes in 2009, her son Charles Holmes in 1997, her parents and 11 brother and sisters.
   Memorials may be made to Harrold Cemetery or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
