Barbara Ann Chandler

   QUANAH – Barbara Ann Chandler, 75, formerly of Quanah, died on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, in Vernon. A memorial  service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at the Church of Christ with Van R. White, Jr. officiating.
   Chandler was born March 3, 1939 to the late Lester Lee Mote and Christina Frey in Quanah. She married Dean Chandler on Feb. 14, 1996. She was raised in Quanah and raised her children in Childress. She lived over the last 20 years in Fort Worth. She retired from Alcon Surgical. After retiring, she volunteered in the food pantry at church, the children’s hospital, rocking babies and Bible study in prison ministries.  She was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ and attended the Church of Christ in Quanah while she lived there.
   She is survived by two daughters, Janet Campsey Young of Quanah and Cynthia Campsey of Fort Worth; one son, Robert Campsey of Estelline; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Chandler, in August 2013; a son, David Campsey in 1959; her stepfather, Sigmond Hilton, and a sister, Donna Hilton Dempsey.
