Mary Ann McCuistion

   Funeral services for Mary Ann McCuistion, 73 of Vernon, who died on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, in Wichita Falls will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dave Treat. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   McCuistion was born Monday, July 14, 1941 in Graham, Mo. She was the daughter of  Ardith Lowrence Kneale and the late Ernest Kneale. She married M. P. “Phil” McCuistion on March 31, 1963 in Graham, Mo. She moved to Vernon in 1976 from St. Joseph, Mo. She was a graduate of Northwest Missouri State College in Maryville, Mo. She was the executive director of Vernon College Red River Valley Museum for many years. She was a member of Western Trail Art Association, Founder and President, Texas Great Western Cattle Trail Association, Oklahoma Great Western Cattle Trail Association, Kemp Center for the Arts – Cowboy True Committee, Red River Valley Museum Board Member, Past Director, PEO, Gamma Sigma Sigma, and Kappa Phi. She was a former member of Vernon Art League, Dulcimer Society and Pease River Quilt Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
   She is survived by her husband, M.P. (Phil) McCuistion of the home; two daughters, Laura Gillis, of Iowa Park, and Cynthia McCuistion Taylor of Benbrook; her mother, Ardith Kneale of Vernon, and two grandchildren.
   Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas Oncology of Wichita Falls, First Presbyterian Church Cupboard by Grace or a favorite charity.
