E.E. Norris

   QUANAH – E.E. (Buddy) Norris, 89, of Quanah, died on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 in Childress. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 in the Chapel at Smith Funeral Home with Wayne Hollinshead officiating. Interment will follow at Eldorado Cemetery in Eldorado, Okla.
   Norris was born Sept. 2, 1925 to the late Fred and Alice Morren Norris in Eldorado, Okla.  He married Margaret Gregston  on Nov. 21, 1980 in Midland.  He served in the United States Army in World War II. He was employed in law enforcement in Snider, Midland, Lubbock, and was the police chief in Quanah in the early 1940s. He loved to garden, fish and cook for family and friends.
   He is survived by his wife, Margaret Norris of Quanah; two daughters, Therese Norris Cline of Danton, Nev., and Barri Brewer of Midland; two sons, E.E. (Bud) Norris Jr. of Burkburnett and Wayne Beaird of Midland; three sisters, including a twin sister, Eudene Bolsinger of Mustang, Okla., Nadine Coburn of Medicine Mound and Billie Ruth Freeman of Altus, Okla.; 10 grandchildren , two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Gene Norris and Dennis Beaird; six brothers, Monroe Norris, Joe Norris, Carl Norris, Glenn Norris, Leonard Norris and F.A. Norris, and one sister, Ina Ingram.
   Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Smith Funeral Home in Quanah.
