Viola Pauline Foster

   QUANAH – Viola Pauline (Polly) Foster, 96, formerly of Quanah died on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, in Decatur. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, 2015 at Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Joseph Jones officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
   Foster was born Jan. 25, 1919 to the late Charles and Maggie Scruggs Goolsbly in Spanish Fort, Texas. She married Beryan Waukene Foster on June 21, 1937 in Acme. He preceded her in death in 1994. She worked as an LVN at the Quanah Hospital for many years and at the State Hospital in Vernon until she retired in 1986 and moved to Boyd. There she continued to work for the nursing home in Bridgeport for several years before her final retirement in the early 1990s.
   She is survived by a daughter, Judith C. Tabor of Boyd; one brother, William Foster of Boyd; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two children, Gary B. Foster and Jaynie L. Hagerud.
   Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home.
