Donald Lee Milligan

   QUANAH – Donald Lee Milligan, 75, of Quanah, died on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, in Houston. Funeral services will be  at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at the Chapel at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Gwen Morman officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Quanah.
   Milligan was born Nov. 27, 1939 in La Habra, Calif., to the late Oscar Lee and Ruth Macom Milligan. He married Laverne Clements on May 27, 1960 in Vernon. They lived in Wichita Falls prior to moving to Houston. He attended school at Medicine Mounds and graduated from Quanah High School in 1958. He attended Midwestern University and Claredon Junior College. While in Wichita Falls he was employed at Wichita Clutch Company as a draftsman’s and later Wilson Manufacturing Company as a machine shop superintendent before moving to Houston in 1984 for Continental Ensco and other successor companies. As a mechanical engineer, master machinist and draftsman, he travelled to China three times for his company.
   He is survived by his wife, Laverne Clements Milligan of Houston; one son, Don Milligan of Iowa Park; two sisters, Tempie Yvonne Milligan Rodgers of Houston and Carolyn Joyce Milligan of Rapid City, S.D.; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three nieces and six nephews.
   Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Quanah.
   Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
