Avinell Dyer Hendrix

   Avinell Dyer Hendrix, 85 of Vernon, died on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, in Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Gib Baskerville. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Avinell was born Sunday, Aug. 18, 1929 in Vernon. She was the daughter of the late Oren Crawford Dyer and the late Ethel Lane Dyer. She married Wayne Hendrix on Aug. 18, 1947 in Wichita Falls. She had lived all of her life in Vernon. She was a graduate of Vernon High School. She retired after 43 years as auditor at the Waggoner National Bank. She enjoyed ceramics and bowling.
   She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hendrix of the home; one daughter, Karla Hendrix of Vernon; grandson, Brandon and Blair Rhoades of Austin; granddaughter, Ashlee and Ryan Cheff of Dallas; a great-granddaughter, Belle Barton Rhoades of Austin; three sisters, Doris Jones, Ida Lou Halencak and Lana Adams, all of Vernon.
   The family will be at 2508 Crescent Drive.
   Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.,  Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Humane Society or North Texas State Hospital Volunteer Services Council.
