Bobby Ray Senter
QUANAH – Bobby Ray Senter, 68, of Quanah, died on Sunday, March 8, 2015 in Crowell. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at the Chillicothe Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Elder officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Quanah.
Senter was born on May 3, 1946 in Quanah. He was the son of the late Richard D. Senter Jr. and the late Ava Mae Spears Senter. He was raised in Chillicothe. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Quanah. He had worked for Glenn Quisenberry for many years, worked for the railroad at Alpine, Texas, was a truck driver for E.A. Holder and Waylond Davis and then a self employed/owner truck driver in 1985. He retired as a truck driver in 2005.
Surviving are two brothers, Dean Senter of Spanaway, Wash. and Dick Senter of DeLeon, Tx; two sistsers, Jean Hopkins of Vernon and Mary Elder of Quanah. He was was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home.
