Vyneta Rose Haynes States, 90 of Greenville, died on Saturday, April 4, 2015, in Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Danny Logan. Interment will be at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
States was born Monday, Oct. 13, 1924 in Tolbert. She was the daughter of the late John Cagle and the late Alice Rose Cagle. She married T.J. Haynes, Jr. and she later married Marvin States who preceded her in death in 2007. She was a beautician in Amarillo and a truck driver working with Mr. States. She was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church of Amarillo.
She is survived by her son, Dale Haynes of Greenville; her daughter, Kay Chisholm of Greenville; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Hopkins; two sons, Troy and Larry Haynes, four sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Todd Haynes, Robert Haynes, Kent Sweat, Duane Chisholm, Jeff Haynes and Randall Haynes.
