Kenneth Gale fitzpatrick
QUANAH – Kenneth Gale Fitzpatrick of Quanah, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Monte Lumpkin officiating. Interment following at Goodlett Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Fitzpatrick was born on April 16, 1943 to the late Jesse and Dorothy Fitzpatrick and grew up in Acme and Quanah. He served in Vietnam from 1967-1969, earning a Bronze Star. On Jan. 29, 1969, he married Marilyn Jo Hammond. They briefly lived in Houston, Liberal, Kan., and Dumas, Texas before returning home to Quanah in the early 1980s. Fitzpatrick worked in the cable industry all his life. He was district manager of the Quanah cable system until his retirement in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Jo Hammond. He is survived by daughter Amy Elizabeth Walther of Aledo; two sisters, Ann McQueen and Karen McCarl; one brother, Don Fitzpatrick, and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, April 10, 2015 from 7-8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
