Juanita Andrews Parker
Juanita Andrews Parker, 94, passed away May 9, 2015 in Vernon. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 12 at Newport Cemetery.
Parker was born July 22, 1920 in Bethany, Okla. to William Columbus Andrews and Lillian (Bell) Andrews. She grew up and graduated high School in Wichita Falls and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She worked in the county assessor office of Frederick, Okla.., for many years. She then moved to Bowie and was a chief deputy in the Montague County Clerks Office. She was a member of the Business and Professionals Women’s Club and Beta Sigma Phi Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian (Bell) Andrews; grandparents Dr. Johnathon M. Bell and Cornelia (Wells) Bell, who served Wichita Falls as a Mayor; a son William Clinton Parker; a daughter Ruth Ellen; two brothers, William Columbus Andrews Jr., and Charles Milton Andrews, and a sister Betty Joy (Andrews) Mueller. She is survived by her son, Ralph Parker of Vernon; a daughter Mary Cardwell of Electra; four grandchildren, Will Parker of Dallas, Deborah Pena of Vernon, Darla Strange of Arlington, and Shannon Cardwell of Stephenville; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at Falls Funeral Home, 1903 Austin Street, Wichita Falls, from 3:30 p.m. to5 p.m., Monday, May 11.
