Bradley Ross Smith
Funeral services for Bradley Ross Smith, 53, of Iowa Park, will be held on Thursday June 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Branon Funeral Chapel in Lamesa with Ben Laudedale officiating. Burial will follow in Gail Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Brad passed away on June 19, 2015 in Lubbock, Texas.
Brad was born on Nov. 23, 1961 to Jerry Ross and Dorothy (Lauderdale) Smith in Lamesa. Brad graduated from Borden County High School in 1980 and was a certified HVAC Technician. He was recently employed at Lubbock Cooper I.S.D. in the maintenance department and worked many years as a maintenance supervisor at Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Vernon. He previously worked for EcoLab and earned the Rookie of the Year award for the Oklahoma City Division. He served as an assistant basketball coach with the Wichita Falls Girls Club. Brad was an avid outdoorsman. He loved animals, fishing, camping and hunting. Brad was multi-talented in mechanics, electrical, and construction and tried to always have a pleasant disposition. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Brad is survived by his mother Dorothy (Lauderdale) Smith of Vernon; brother, Clifton David Smith and wife Diane of Lubbock; sister, Lisa Smith Puckett of Vernon; nieces, Meagan (Smith) Gilbert and Tiffany (Smith) Heatwole; nephews,Barrett Thomas Smith, Ross Puckett and Reese Tate Puckett.
