Brian Keith Schoppa

Brian Keith Schoppa, born Nov. 5, 1966, peacefully passed away July 23, 2015 at his home with his faithful pet Buddy at his side
Brian was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Lockett, a life time member, where his services were held on July 27 at 10 a.m., officiated by Rev. Keith Kubitz with interment at the Zion cemetery.
Brian loved life, had a big heart, loved people and his family and friends, always willing to lend a hand, and had a story to tell.  A man of many skills who helped many with farming, laying tile, carpet, repair  plumbing, climbing roofs for Christmas light cheer, cooking BBQ for church and family reunions,  to making German sausage for Zion Lutheran, and DJ for his beloved Schoppa Reunion.  Bevo’s was his favorite, as well as conversation dinners with his family.
He built and operated the S & S Roadhouse, a business he truly enjoyed, especially when he could host birthday parties, family reunions and pool tournaments.  He loved cruising Summer’s Last Blast in his ‘55 Chevy pickup or on his motorcycle, attending races at the Texas Motor Speedway, and meeting some of the drivers.  A Booster Club member at Harrold, he enjoyed all the sport events, cooking hamburgers, and shaking noisemakers in the stands.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edgar Sr. and Clara Schoppa, and Willis and Florence Wilkinson.  He is survived by his loving parents Norma and Edgar; one sister Lisa and brother-in-law Dennis Full; two nephews Carson and Colin, and niece Marissa; step-daughter Josie Muncrief, step-son Kyle Dodson; three uncles, three aunts and numerous cousins.
Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund or to the Zion Cemetery Fund.
