Lloyd Yarbrough
Lloyd Yarbrough, 93 of Wichita Falls formerly of Vernon, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 at the Central Christian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Antwine and Carl Freeling. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Yarbrough was born in Vernon on April 1, 1922. He was the son of the late R.G. and Margaret Yarbrough. He served in
the United States Navy in World War II. He retired in 1985 after 45 years in construction and related fields. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Kiwanis Club. He was a member of the Central Christian Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Frances Stone of Humble; one granddaughter, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Robert Yarbrough of Wichita Falls, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death in May 2013 by his wife, Vestia Mae, of 66 years.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 23, at Sullivan Funeral Home.
