Eddie Carl Browder
Eddie Carl Browder, 66, of Quanah, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, in Childress. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015 at The First Christian Church with Rev. Wayne Hollinshead and Rev. Elvis Peck officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Browder was born Aug. 20, 1949 to the late James Carlton and Lois Haynie in Quanah. He married Camilla Swindell Browder on June 6, 1970 in Quanah. He was a resident of Truscott until 1970 and lived the rest of his life in Quanah. He was a graduate of Crowell High School and attended Kellow Technical School. He worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice from 1991 retiring in November of 2013. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He is survived by: his wife, Camilla Browder of Quanah; two sons, Tracy and wife Melodie Browder of Amarillo and James and wife Christina of Amarillo; two sisters, Doris Womack of Bridgeport and Carla Fashe of Houston, and four grandchildren, Pierce, Tobie, Creed and Berkley Browder. He was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Jean Coleman.
Family visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Friday at Smith Funeral Home.
