Madene Corgill

   Madene Corgill, 94 of Vernon, died on Tuesday, Jan.12, 2016 in Vernon. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Gib Baskerville.
   Corgill was born Tuesday, March 1, 1921 in Palo Pinto County.  She was the daughter of the late Hugh Gillmore and the late Ella Chick Gillmore. She married Leonard Corgill on June 8, 1940 in Perrin. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2008. She moved to Wilbarger County in 1943 and moved to Vernon from White City in 1979. She worked for City Pharmacy for 20 years. She was a member of Fargo Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 30 years. She was a member of the Bethany Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker.
   She is survived by two daughters, Danna Corgill Graves Fordyce Harvey of Vernon, and Sherilyn Corgill Pistocco Mahler of Wichita Falls; one sister, Lynda Gillmore Fenter of Jacksboro; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Watson and a brother, Royce Gillmore.
   Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church or favorite charity.
