CROWELL – Linda Ruth Crosby, 59 of Crowell, died on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, in Crowell. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Crowell with the Rev. Ron Fox and Rev. Paul Neuberger officiating. Interment will be held at Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
Crosby was born Saturday, May 19, 1956 in Vernon. She was the daughter of Edna Wilhelm Alexander and the late Kenneth Alexander. She married Edward Crosby on July 29, 1977 in Vernon. She was a graduate of Vernon High School and a longtime resident of Vernon and Crowell. She worked for Crowell ISD. Cafeteria and was a substitute teacher. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church..
She is survived by her husband, Edward Crosby of the home; one daughter, Lacy Smith of Matador; her mother, Edna Alexander of Vernon; one brother, Kenny Alexander of Vernon and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to Foard County 4-H Horse Club or Cal Farley’s Boy’s Ranch.
