Charlie Bell

   CROWELL – Charlie Bell, 76 of Crowell, died on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Crowell, with the Rev. Jerry McLain and the Rev. Christopher McLain officiating. Interment will be at Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
   Bell was born Thursday, Jan. 18, 1940 in Dallas. He was the son of the late Gordon Bell and the late Estelle Wood Bell. He married Bettie Wood on March 12, 1983 in Crowell.  He was the Foard County Judge for 33 years and on the board of directors of the Foard County Appraisal District for 15 years. He also served as chairman for Nortex Regional Planning Commission for five years. He was also Crowell’s Citizen of the year in 2010. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Crowell.
   He is survived by his wife, Bettie Bell of the home; one brother, Gordon Wood of Bedford; numerous nieces and nephews.
   Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Feb. 25, 2016 at Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Crowell Cemetery Association.
