Matilda Sanchez Hulett, 85, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. A Rosary and Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Hampton Vaughan.
Mattie was born on March 14, 1930 in New Braunfels, Texas, to Juan and Manuela Sanchez. Mattie was married to Ira Hulett on Dec. 14, 1955, in Vernon, Texas. She was a wonderful homemaker, and traveled the world with Ira and family. She enjoyed church, family, friends and her pets. Mattie took pleasure in shopping, playing bingo, dancing in her younger years, music, and good food. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Matilda is survived by four children, Brenda Mabbs and husband Merrill, Bobby and wife Kaycie Hulett, Shirley and Joe Hoff, and Donna Love; sister, Sabie Tobar; grandchildren, Selden and Carla Drust, John Drust, Melissa and Tony Towndrow, Aaron Hulett, Brittney Love, Brian Love, Kyle and Brittany Hoff, Amanda and Mike Moreno, Ashley Hoff, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ira Hulet; two brothers Abdon Sanchez and Henry Sanchez, and four sisters, Pat Sanchez, Toni Wilson, Vickie Gamez and Olivia Tobar.
