Laura Lucille (Vantine) Jobe

   QUANAH – Laura Lucille (Vantine) Jobe died on Friday, March 4, 2016. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Fox and the Rev. Larry Holder officiating.  Interment followed at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
   Jobe was born March 7, 1917 to Dora Willia (Fletcher) and John Logan Vantine in Quanah. She and W.C. Jobe were married on June 5, 1938 in Quanah. He preceded her in death in 1958. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and on many committees. She worked for the Quanah Cotton Oil Company and served as the Hardeman County treasurer for 24 years.
   She is survived by sons, Lewyn M. Jobe of Flint, Texas, and John Mark Jobe; a daughter Claudia (Jobe) Hutchinson of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, her brothers, Mark Vantine and John Vantine, and her sister, Daisy Bob Pruitt.
   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls and the Quanah Alumni Association.
