Margaret Jane Hill
Funeral services for Margaret Jane Hill who died on Saturday, March 5, 2016 will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home. Dr. Scott Youngblood will officiate.
Hill was born May 24, 1926 in Paducah. She was the youngest of four children of Ollie Thomas and Willie Laura Youngblood. She graduated from Vernon High School and attended the University of Texas, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She married Jesse Mark Hill Jr. on March 27, 1948. The Hills then moved to their ranch in Matador where they raised cattle until 1983. They lived in Pagosa Springs, Colo. for 15 years until moving back to Texas.
Hill was a Cub Scout den mother and a cheering mom who never missed a game or school activity. While in Fort Worth, she was involved with The Woman’s Club, was an active member of First Methodist Church where she was a member of the Inquires Class and a member of numerous bridge and study clubs. .
Survivors are her son, Jesse Mark Hill III; two grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jesse Mark Hill Jr.; parents Ollie and Willie Laura Youngblood, and three brothers, Tommy, OT, and Edwin Youngblood.
