Michael (Mike) Andrew Doherty

   Michael (Mike) Andrew Doherty, 64 of Vernon, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, in Wichita Falls.  Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 1 p.m., at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Mike was born Thursday, Dec. 27, 1951 in Vernon. He was the son of the late Albert A. Doherty and the late Thelma Doyle Doherty. He worked for the cotton gin and was a hay hauler for many years. He was a member of Pearl Street Baptist Church.
   He is survived by his brother, David Doherty of Electra; a sister, Neoma Justus of Wichita Falls; a brother-in-law, Jeff George, and two sisters-in-law, Debbie GoForth and Debbie Doherty. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Albert (Rip) Doherty, and a sister, Angela George.
   Visitation will be Monday from 12 noon until service time at Sullivan Funeral Home.
   Memorials can be made to Wilbarger County Humane Society.
