Mildred Marie Luman

   QUANAH – Mildred Marie Luman, 88, of Quanah, died on Sunday, April 3, 2016, in Childress. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Quanah Memorial Park with Rev. Tommy Elder officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
   Luman was born April 23, 1927 in Heavner, Okla., to the late Homer and Clara Windham Ary.  She married Elmer Luman on Sept. 13, 1948 in Yuma, Ariz. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1993. She was a longtime employee of the Quanah Cotton Oil Mill and a member of the Baptist Church.
   She is survived by two sons, Jerry Luman and James Luman, both of Quanah; Linda Baker of Quanah; one brother, Jack Ary of Heavner, Okla., one sister, Dortha Moore of Grand’s Pass, Ore.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael David Luman in 1967.
   Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Quanah.
