Bryan (Buddy) Seymour Dunson, 62 of Vernon, died on Monday, April 18, 2016, in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Toby Castleberry. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Dunson was born Sunday, Nov. 29, 1953 in Vernon. He was the son of Jean Townsend Hite and the late Ernest Dunson. He had lived all of his life in Vernon. He worked for the Waggoner Ranch for 28 years as ranch maintenance hand and the Vernon State Hospital for 11 years rehab-tech. He was a graduate of Electra High School. He was an avid Vernon Lion fan. He attended the Western Trail Cowboy Church and the Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Hite of Vernon; two sons, Chris Dunson and Cody Dunson, both of Vernon; one daughter, Courtney Araiza of Vernon; two sisters, Brenda Hill of Rowlett and Pam Gosline of Vernon, and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home.
