Billy Ray Dunn
CROWELL – Billy Ray Dunn, 81, of Crowell, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Crowell. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016, in the Womack-Funeral Home Chapel in Crowell with the Rev. Loyd Daniel, pastor of the Rock Crossing Cowboy Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home of Crowell.
Dunn was born on July 3, 1934 in Good Creek, Foard County, a son of the late Cecil Earl and Lula Rada Campbell Dunn Sr. He married Dee Ann Christian on April 17, 1959 in Crowell. She preceded him in death on May 11, 1996. He married Leta Merle(Scott) Eavenson on Nov. 6, 1999 in Crowell. He was a lifetime resident of Foard County. He was a 1954 graduate of Crowell High School and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Crowell, where he served as a Deacon until its closing. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Foard County Farm Bureau for 47 years and was a director for 20 years. He was a farmer and rancher.
He is survived by his wife, Leta Merle Dunn of the home; two daughters, Barbie Kitchens of Vernon and Toni Santos of Crowell; one son, David Dunn of Hewitt; four stepchildren, Beth Reddin of Breckenridge, Grover Reed of Crowell, Randy Reed of Wagon Mound, N.M., and Marshall Reed of Wichita Falls; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Earl Dunn Jr., on Sept. 4, 1985, and Earnest Dunn, and his first wife, Dee Ann Dunn on May 11, 1996.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Womack-Manard Funeral Home in Crowell.
