Royce Glenn Vaughn

   Royce Glenn Vaughn, 82, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett with Rev. Joe Coombes, officiating.  Interment with full military honors will follow at the pavilion at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
   Royce was born on Dec. 19, 1933 in Peacock, Texas to the late Pete and Hazel (Smith) Vaughn.  On Dec. 24, 1953, he married Carole Newman in Vernon.  Royce served our country proudly in the United States Air Force retiring as a SMSgt. after 21 years.  During his service with the Air Force, he received a Bronze Star, and was honored to be selected in the Air Commandos. 
   He is survived by his wife, Carole Vaughn; his son, Mark Vaughn; his daughter, Paula Vaughn all of Burkburnett; his granddaughter, Catie Seedle and husband Charlie of Texarkana, Ark.; his brother, Ted Vaughn of Sacramento, Calif.; and two sisters, Dana Vaughn and Lana Vaughn both of Oregon.
   The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
