Dale was born July 4, 1937 in Evant, Texas to the late Blake Elmer Lovelace and Alice Martha Taylor Lovelace.  He graduated from Evant High School in 1955. Dale continued his education at Texas A&M University, graduating in 1970 with his PhD in Agronomy. Dale moved to Vernon, Texas where he worked for Texas A&M. He found great joy in being a member of the Santa Rosa Palomino Club while living in Vernon and continued that for many years to come. Dale moved to Dallas and spent his professional life at Texas A&M where he retired at the age of 56 in 1993. After he retired, he high tailed it to the place of his dreams, the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Creede, Colo., where he bought a lot in Ptarmigan Meadows. Dale built that little Rocky Mountain Rainbow by hand where he & his family have enjoyed life in the mountains ever since. Dale and Virginia spent every summer in those beloved mountains horseback riding, hunting, fishing, hiking and spending time with family and friends. They enjoyed their gift of creativity and loved to share it with everyone.  Dale had a passion for wood working and was talented with the lathe. Virginia would bring some of Dale’s artwork to life with her creative brush strokes and they would enjoy many years in the craft world sharing it with others.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Lovelace; and granddaughter, Hanna Foster.
