Two Lady Lion powerlifters claim bronze at regionals

MIDLAND – The Vernon Lady Lions powerlifting team competed at the regional tournament over the weekend at Midland Greenwood and ended their season on a high note.
Lilly Jones placed third in the 97-pound weight class with a squat of 175, bench 95 and deadlift 215. Audrey Hodges placed eighth in the 105-pound class with a squat of 160, bench 90 and deadlift 180. Chloe Maldanado placed third in the 114-pound class with a squat of 235, bench 115 and deadlift 230; and Brisa Ramirez was 11th in the 189-pound class with a squat of 225, bench 135 and deadlift 255. Caitlyn Brints scratched out on bench press.
