Carolyn McGann Perlowski
Carolyn McGann Perlowski died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019 in Vernon, Texas. She was a resident of Eagle Flats Assisted Living Center. Carolyn was born May 2, 1938 to W.T. “Bill” and Johnnie Waldrop McGann. She attended school in Turkey, Flomot, Texas graduating from Vernon High School in 1956. She lived in Wichita Falls for a number of years working for Burk Royalty, she was once elected Chief of Police of Lakeside City, and she completed the police officer school and made high marks for her marksmanship.
After moving to the Metroplex she was employed by Sun Belt Nurseries and Blockbuster Corporate Office as quality control. She traveled to jobs sites to check new construction workmanship. She made the contractors toe the line on quality of work completed.
She met and married John Perlowski on Aug. 31, 1985. He was a CPA and she was fearlessly a self-starter, she owned and operated a janitorial company and later she owned a mail shop.
Carolyn loved people, loved her dogs, loved pretty clothes, and loved her family and friends. She was always a giving person, she loved bling. She always looked “Put Together.”
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jack McGann.
She is survived by step-sons Brett and Michael Perlowski; two grandsons Brandon and Kyle Perlowski and a great-granddaughter Mae; her sister Virginia Sivley of Vernon, Texas; nieces Marilyn Lane of Wichita Falls, Texas and Elaine Nance of The Woodlands, Texas.
Memorial will be held Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at 2 p.m.at Western Trail Cowboy Church under the direction Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Fox.
