Michael Ross “Mike” Price, 75 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020.Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven Brummett offi ciating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.Mike was born Friday, Aug. 18, 1944 in Vernon, Texas, to the late Morgan Price and the late Louise Johnson Price. He married Deloras Schoppa Price on Nov. 9, 1963 at the Zion Lutheran Church. Mike was a graduate of Lockett High School in 1962. He entered the United Sates Air Force in 1963, and was a proud veteran. His passion was looking after the Thalia Cemetery and the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. He was active in getting both cemeteries accredited in the Texas Historical Cemetery Association. Mike enjoyed fi shing and hunting. His biggest hobby was researching ancestry. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mike is survived by his wife of the home Deloras, one son William “Bill” Price and wife Katrina of Vernon, Texas; three grandchildren Dalton, Lyndsey and Kinsey, one great-grandson Liam; one brother Dan Price and wife Linda of Vernon, Texas, and one sister Jackie Harrison of Enid, Okla. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many cousins.Visitation will be Sunday from 6-7 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home.Memorials can be made to the Thalia Cemetery Association or the Zion Lutheran Cemetery Association.Online condolences may be made to the family at

    I was born in Thalia, have many relatives buried in the Thalia Cemetery and have visited it many times through my 86 years. While I never met Mike, I saw the results of his and Jane’s work and appreciate their leadership.
