Juanita V. Macias, 73 of Vernon, Texas died on Thursday,
March 5, 2020, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Services will be Monday, March 9, 2020 at 2 p.m.
at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Lorenzo Perez
offi ciating. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery
under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home
Juanita was born Saturday, March 30, 1946 in Cameron,
Texas. She was the daughter of the late Domingo Valverde
and the late Lupe Ramirez Valverde. She married Vincente
Macias in November of 1996 in Gould, Okla. She was a
cook for Vernon State Hospital for several years and later
she was a cook for S.W. Community Action Head Start
Program for 25 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace
Catholic Church in Altus, Okla. She was a homemaker. She
enjoyed her trips to Goodwill, working in the yard planting
fl owers, and she loved her family gathering and was always
willing to help anyone that needed it.
Juanita is survived by her husband Vincente Macias of
the home; one son, Jerome Huerta of Vernon, Texas; two
daughters, Florinda Bearden and husband Jeff of Altus,
Okla., and Monica Castillo and husband Johnny of Altus, Okla.; six sisters, Mary Ann Perez
and husband Lorenzo of Olustee, Okla., Rosa Hernandez and husband Joe of Lubbock,
Texas, Connie Hickey and husband Albert of Davidson, Okla., Lucy Taylor and husband
Mike of Vernon, Texas, Hope Boudnik and husband Ron of Manitowoc, Wi., and Vicky Lee
of Vernon, Texas; her grandchildren Johnny Castillo, Jr, Valencia Favors, Desiray Smith,
Christian Smith, Sunshyn Huerta, Kaydin Huerta and Jersea Huerta; her step-children Olivia
Macias, Nicolas and Hallie Macias of Quanah, Texas, Alejandro and Stormy Macias, and
Marta Robles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Raymond Hawk Smith,
granddaughter Leticia Favors and two step-children Vicente Macias, Jr., and Miguel Angel
Macias.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home.
