Sylvia Jean Green Lewis

Sylvia Jean Green Lewis was born on Jan. 26, 1946 to the late Art Green and Delilah Maxine Calvert Green in Lockney, Texas. She passed away on Dec. 22, 2020. Jean married Donald Luther Lewis on Jan. 26, 1963 in Flomot, Texas. They lived in Vernon most of their married life. While Don worked to provide for their family, Jean was able to stay home and raise their children. Jean and Don had three children. Tammi Keyser, Kalyn Bailey and husband Grant, Daren Lewis and wife Tiffany, all of Vernon, Texas. Jean went by many names…. Jean, Mom, Meema, Grandma, Nana, Great Grandma. Jean had six grandchildren- Christopher Bailey and wife Felicia, Amanda Cantu, Lacie Martinez, Matthew Keyser, Dakota Lewis, and Harley Lewis. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Seth Layne Lewis on Sept. 28, 2001 She had six great-grandchildren- Analena Guerrero, Jessilyn Guerrero, Karis DeLaRosa, Alexander Bailey, Cole Bailey and Avalyn Martinez. She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Addison Grace Bailey on March 25, 2010. Jean took her greatest joy from being all of these things to her family. Jean loved her Saviour fi rst, and fully. Her faith was unwavering. The love she had for her husband and family were unconditional and without end. Jean was also loved dearly by sisters: Joan Helms and the late Joe Ed Helms, Alta Rice, Kelly Martin and husband Hal. Brothers: Danny Green and wife Donna, Billy Green and wife Cindy, Steve Green and wife Jill. And many nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held Dec. 24, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church with Toby Castleberry offi ciating.
