White, McRae, Kinney compete in Oil Bowl sports
Northside’s Brenley Kinney had a game-high five kills to help lead the East All-Stars to a victory over the West, 25-20, 25-19, during the Oil Bowl small-school volleyball all-star game Saturday, played at Rider’s fieldhouse.
Kinney will be attending Vernon College to play volleyball for the Lady Chaps this fall. Two other VC signees Maddie Lopez of Archer City and Natalie Jones of Electra were in the game.
In the large school match, Vernon was represented by Carli White, who had a dig for the East in a 25-17, 17-25, 15-13 loss to the West. White will be playing volleyball this fall for Amarillo College.
In the Oil Bowl girl’s basketball game, Bryanna McRae represented Vernon, scoring two points for the East squad playing as a guard in a 54-52 loss. McRae will be attending West Texas A&M this fall.
