Cold week, snow possible
The rest of this week will be cold, with a possibility of snow in the forecast.
The National Weather Service reports: “Snow precipitation coming up from western into northern Texas may start moving into our western north Texas counties by Thursday mid-morning prior to sunrise. Confidence is still high for winter weather to affect our area for Thursday into the overnight hours with accumulating snowfall. Still some uncertainty about how far west and north the gradient of the heaviest snowfall accumulations will be, so our watch area could be expanded in subsequent forecasts. Outside the watch area, snowfall accumulation could change as well as we get closer to the event, but areas east and south of the I-44 corridor could see at least 3 inches.”
